The Hotel Kosciuszko was a notable landmark in the Snowy Mountains from its opening in 1909 until it was destroyed by fire in 1951.
Sponars Chalet ‘rose from the ashes’, with the old staff lodgings becoming a new venue for skiers and holiday-makers.
It has been a popular accommodation option for visitors to the Snowy Mountains since 1961.
